This adapter cable can be used to connect your Sennheiser HD800 to your low output impedance amplifier headphones jack in order to improve frequency response and provide a slightly more balanced and natural soundstage*.

* If you have an headphone amplifier with a very low output impedance then this 43 ohms cable adapter optimizes the drive of your HD800, by approaching the "ideal" output of Sennheisers flagship HDVD800 dac/amplifier (which was designed for the HD800 with a 43 ohms output impedance).
